# Dynamic Spot Fee Model

## Spot Trading Fee Overview

Boba charges fees for spot trading based on the market cap size of the underlying pair. The Higher the market cap, the lower our fees. Additional discounts can be earned via membership level.

## Spot Trading Fee Examples

#### Example 1: Micro Cap Token, Gold User

```
Token Market Cap: $50M (Tier 2)
User XP: 30,000 (Gold 1)
Swap Amount: 1,000 USDC
Base Fee BPS = 90 (0.900%)
Gold Cashback = 10% (multiplier 0.90)
Final Fee BPS = 90 × 0.90 = 81
Final Fee = 1,000 × 0.0081 = 8.10 USDC
```

#### Example 2: Major Token, Diamond User

```
Token Market Cap: $5B (Tier 7)
User XP: 2,000,000 (Diamond 1)
Swap Amount: 10,000 USDC
Base Fee BPS = 10 (0.100%)
Diamond Cashback = 20% (multiplier 0.80)
Final Fee BPS = 10 × 0.80 = 8
Final Fee = 10,000 × 0.0008 = 8.00 USDC
```

#### Example 3: Bluechip Token with Minimum

```
Token Market Cap: $50B (Tier 8)
User XP: 500 (Bronze 2)
Swap Amount: 100 USDC
Base Fee BPS = 5 (0.050%)
Bronze Cashback = 2.5% (multiplier 0.975)
Final Fee BPS = 5 × 0.975 = 4.875
Calculated Fee = 100 × 0.00004875 = 0.004875 USDC
Minimum Fee = $0.50 USDC
Final Fee = max(0.004875, 0.50) = 0.50 USDC
```

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.boba.xyz/fees/dynamic-spot-fee-model.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
